A LIVE / SIMULATED badge is always visible. The app never fakes freshness. If the data behind a view is not current, it says so.
That is a small piece of interface, and it is the part we would defend hardest. An app that quietly shows stale positions is not a simplification — it is a different product, and a dishonest one. The same principle governs the platform: a feed that fails silently is worse than no feed at all.
